Bishop Neavelle A. Coles
- Discover how to assess the first impressions visitors have of your church;
- Learn how - and when - first-time visitors decide to come back;
- Explore the difference between new members and long-time members...why it's important...and what it means for your church;
- Define the characteristics of an assimilated member (a member taken in and has become an active member and feels a part of the church), and how to guide your new members in this direction;
- Learn to listen for clues in your new members' conversation as to whether they feel assimilated;
- Understand the dynamics of the drop-out track;
- Decrease the number of people who drop out of your church; and
- Identify six steps to dramatically reduce your "back door" loses.
Bishop Coles has asked Dr. Charles Arn to lead the " Welcome to the Local Church Family Seminar" on May 1, 2010 (the first Saturday of May). This is a must attend seminar for all Jurisdiction Superintendents, Pastors, Elders, Ministers, Missionaries, church Trustees, local church department leaders, future pastors and aspiring missionaries, and all laity of the Jurisdiction.
Dr. Arn is a widely respected authority on church health and growth. He has researched effective churches for many years and designed this seminar to incorporate the latest understandings of how to reach people in the 21st century to grow the churches in the Washington, DC Eccelesatical Jurisdiction of the Church of God in Christ.
